For my first blog I read a piece from the New York Time's section Dining Out.It is called "School Food Chief is Out." By Kim Severson. It states that the man in charge of what school children in New York City ate has no left the building. His name is David Berkowitz. He was known as a bit of a combative administrator and why wouldnt he be? Serving over 800,000 meals a day to a district can be a bit stressful. They are not certain if he is gooing to be replaced or not. The school food program has come a long way though. Low fat or fat free milk is served as oppose to whole milk and salad bars have been added. Whatever the case may be I hope that someone whoever that may be will keep up this good progress since David Berkowitz isn't there to do it anymore.
